Well, my new law firm is finally “up and running” smoothly, so now it is time to put the finishing touches on my website and start my blog.
The purpose of this blog, as you will come to see, is to provide legal guidance and tips to not only my clients but to the public at large and even younger attorneys who may benefit from my 20 years of legal experience. My goal is to provide legal analysis in easy to understand terms. While I will do my best to be accurate in the information I provide, it is important for me to tell you that there is no substitute for consulting with an attorney concerning your individual legal issues. In this regard, the general legal analysis that I may provide on my website and my blog may not “fit” your or your family’s specific situation or legal needs and, as such, although my website and blog may provide a good starting point on a legal issue or topic, I do suggest obtaining specific legal advice for your own legal issues before you take your own legal action. Nothing contained in my website or my blog should be construed by you as providing “legal advice.”
As you can see from my website, I have been practicing in Monmouth County, Middlesex County, Ocean County and throughout the entire state of New Jersey for the past 20 years. I am also certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. This means that I have established to the satisfaction of the Supreme Court of New Jersey that I have immersed myself in the practice of civil litigation, have engaged in an appropriate number of civil trials, have engaged in and continue to engage in ongoing continuing legal education, and have handled various types of civil litigation to the satisfaction of the Court and other attorney colleagues.
My employment background includes working at two prestigious Monmouth County law firms after performing a legal clerkship with a now Federal Judge. Fortunately, my work with these law firms and with the court has enabled me to obtain significant experience in a wide array of legal cases and legal issues. The first law firm I worked for focused mainly on the defense of civil litigation including personal injury cases, motor vehicle accidents, construction cases, employment cases, New Jersey Tort Claim Act cases and general litigation type cases. This experience has given me a perspective from an insurance company’s point of view as to how these cases are handled and as to how these cases should be handled from both the perspective of a plaintiff attorney and defendant attorney. The second law firm I worked for, and in which I became a partner, exposed me to significantly diverse legal issues and cases in that it was a general practice law firm. While there, I expanded my horizon beyond civil litigation to include real estate transactions, limited family law litigation, Federal Constitutional law litigation, medical malpractice, nursing home malpractice and neglect and the defense of Municipal Court charges. Once again, the experience at this firm provided me with the important perspective of representing individual clients and properly protecting their rights against corporations, insurance companies, the government, and even “the guy next door.”
I feel fortunate that the first 20 years of my legal career have allowed me to work on such a wide array of cases and become familiar with the legal issues involved in each type. I firmly believe that a well educated client is the best client and I will strive to educate my clients, the public at large and other younger attorneys through this blog.
Of course, if you have a specific legal issue or question that you would like to discuss please feel free to email me or call my office.
